Retail Carbon Offset Survey 2009

The Retail Carbon Offset Survey is the first-ever national survey of household purchasers of voluntary carbon offsets. The survey questioned retail consumers of voluntary carbon offsets about their market activity, motivations, preferences, and about how their purchase decisions may change as a result of the introduction of a national cap limiting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the U.S.

Miedema Dairy

Circleville, OH

ECC is pleased to feature Miedema Dairy in Circleville, OH as the first Lagoon Cover Program project to be constructed in the state. The project encompasses a complete lagoon cover anaerobic digester over the farm's manure storage lagoon, as well as an incorporated sludge removal system. Methane biogas is captured under the sealed lagoon cover, measured with a flow meter, and then combusted. The measured greenhouse gas emissions reductions will be verified and registered annually as carbon credits with the Chicago Climate Exchange. Read more...
